After a surprise engagement, an obsessive brother decides to ruin his sister's wedding under the guise of protecting their long intertwined vlogging careers. But after enlisting the help of his estranged older brother, and throwing the reception into a tailspin, he is left with no other option than to give a speech that neither he nor his sister, can ever come back from.
Story Statement
When his sister and longtime co-vlogger decides to trade their viral YouTube channel for a "wholesome" rebrand as a mommy-fluencer, a desperate, image-obsessed brother attempts to sabotage her wedding to save the only identity he has left. In this humorous cautionary tale, Gordon Love must decide if his sister's happiness is worth more than the digital validation he's spent a lifetime chasing. It is a story about the cost of living for the camera and the family we lose when we forget how to be real.
Director’s Statement
Connor Reveley — Writer & Director
I graduated from film school in 2021, which meant spending my last year and a half primarily on Zoom, which also meant spending way too much time on YouTube. Being a millennial, I didn't grow up with vloggers, so I sort of became obsessed with these micro-celebs who can seemingly run their own reality TV shows, all while selling products and growing a fan base. A story began to form about what might happen if a vlogger could no longer distinguish between their online and offline selves.
Brother of the Bride came about from a need to see this world given the satirical treatment, all while exploring elements of the dark comedy genre, which I love, and attempting to craft something that feels narratively fresh and visually exciting.

Writer/Director
Raised in Ruidoso, New Mexico, Connor graduated from The University of North Carolina School of the Arts, where he majored in directing. He's directed and written 3 short films through UNCSA. Brother of the Bride will be Connor's debut feature.

Shawn is a Screenwriter and Producer based in Asheville, NC. Shawn's credits include Co-Producer and Writer on three seasons of "Red Oaks" on Amazon Prime; Writer of "The Campaign," starring Will Ferrell and Zack Galifianakis; and writing on two seasons of HBO's "Eastbound and Down."
Producer
Devin is a graduate of the University of North Carolina School of the Arts where he majored in Producing. Devin has made a number of short films that have screened at festivals across the country. In 2023, Devin founded Sea Street Films - an independent production company based in NY, striving to bring original, evocative and character-driven stories to the large and small screen.
